TBA Global Connect Earth Day Reflections
celebrate the world we live in

Lee

Dear Friends,

At TBA Global, we’re marking Earth Week by celebrating our commitment to social responsibility.

We have planted over 4,600 trees to date throughout North America through our partnership with American Forests. Our tree planting initiative is an ongoing effort to thank our clients while having a positive impact on the planet.

We’re also proud that our offices actively participated in a number of programs to support our company’s commitment to environmental responsibility.  Our Corporate Social Responsibility Council has implemented many new environmentally friendly and cost saving tips throughout our company.

In addition to green activities, our recent ‘
Value of Meetings’ whitepaper survey of the general public revealed many Americans want to see companies contributing to local communities as well as continuing environmental efforts. We celebrate groundbreaking clients who incorporate charitable acts into programs.

We thank you for your continued partnership.

Sincerely,

Lee Rubenstein

This Earth Day we celebrate green platforms that include community engagement through charitable participation. In the past few months, our offices donated time and resources to organizations like Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, Second Harvest and local Food Banks, all in our continued effort to support local communities.

TBA Global coordinates company-wide volunteer efforts and encourages all employees to build stronger communities where we live and work. Here are just some of the contributions from each office location:

San Diego – Worked with Voices for Children to clothe a family in need. Additionally, we recently donated to the American Heart Association and Hurricane Katrina Relief, and planted trees to thank attendees for a recent FAM participation.

San Francisco Donated time on behalf of MPINCC to a program called Project Homeless Connect.

Scottsdale – Performed a community service event at St. Mary’s Food Bank. We also have been collecting wine corks, which will be shipped to Napa Valley and recycled as part of ReCork America, a program focused on obtaining used and surplus corks so they can be recycled into flooring tiles, building insulation, automotive gaskets, craft materials, soil conditioner and sports equipment.

Miami – Donated toys to the less fortunate children at the Miami Children’s Hospital. Additionally, we cleaned up the beach/park at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, FL.

Chicago Sponsored a family through the Salvation Army Adopt a Family program. We collected donations and purchased and wrapped gifts for the family.

Detroit Recently we took an afternoon to clean Miracle Field; raking leaves and picking up trash and broken branches. Miracle Field was built by the City of Southfield with community donations and serves the adaptive population, so the wheelchair bound, kids with Cerebral Palsy or Multiple Sclerosis and the blind can all enjoy playing sports.

New York – Supported 3 different charities of the employee’s choice: Marine Toys for Tots, City Meals on Wheels and Books for Kids Foundation.

New Orleans – Volunteered at several different organizations. We volunteered as hosts for approximately 100 children to shop in a local Mall to purchase Christmas presents for their family and for themselves. We also volunteered with a Neighborhood Association to help coordinate an event for the Youth of Lakeview.

Orlando – We volunteered for the 2nd Harvest Food bank and helped with the Ziploc Drive for the USO, which gathers one gallon of Ziplocs, per person, filled with toiletries for the troops. We also recently donated a truckload full of office supplies for “A Gift For Teaching,” which gives the items to teachers to use as school supplies.

Washington DC Collaborated with Bright Beginnings for the holiday by sponsoring a 3-year-old boy. We purchased him a winter coat, clothing, shoes and toys for Christmas.

Las Vegas
We created a ‘green’ golf hole at a recent Las Vegas Hospitality Association golf tournament and planted trees on behalf of participants.

Los Angeles – Contributed to the charity Haven Hills, which helps to stop domestic violence, build self reliance and save lives.

Vancouver – Made a donation to our local Food Bank.

NashvilleWorked with American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge - a home away from home for patients receiving cancer treatment. We donated items off of the patient’s “wish list.

Our employees aren’t the only ones going green! We are very proud that many of our clients are looking to us to help them plan greener meetings and events. Read about a recent teambuilding event here.
